Daniel Mebarek (b. 1993, Bolivian-Algerian) is an artist working with photography, video and installation. He holds an MA. in Photography from the Université de Paris 8 and a BA. in Political Science from Sciences Po Paris.

Drawing on his academic background in social sciences, his artistic practice examines issues related to collective memory, identity and territory. His work has been nominated for the 2024 C/O Berlin Talent Award (GR) and the 2023 Lewis Baltz Research Fund (FR). He has received grants from the Centre National des Arts Plastiques (FR), PhMuseum (IT) and Photolucida (US). He was also an artist in residence at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris (FR).
